Template · 2025
A sustainable brand template that skips the virtue performance.
YoGreen the template is the system behind YoGreen the site; packaged so other sustainable brands can skip the eco-cliché trap on day one.

Context
After shipping YoGreen the brand site, the same pattern kept happening; other sustainable founders asking "how do we get that without a custom project?" The honest answer was: you don't, unless the system is packaged. So we packaged it.
The template is not the brand site. It's the discipline underneath: the rhythm, the restraint, the product-first defaults, the story-inline pattern; ready to be applied to any sustainable brand that refuses to look like the category.
The challenge
The challenge
Sustainable brand templates on the market all share a look; sepia, beige, hand-lettered type, overuse of leaf icons. Building a template that actively fights those defaults while still being recognizably "for sustainable brands" is harder than it sounds.
How we packaged it
Discipline in a box.
A palette with a spine
Two foundation neutrals, one hero sage, one accent ink. No gradients, no optional colors, no "secondary tint". The restriction is the identity. If you start adding colors, you start looking like the other ten templates.

Product pages shaped like an editorial
Each product page behaves like a magazine feature; hero shot, short caption paragraph, specs inline, purchase tucked neatly instead of screamed. The template ships with three variants so a skincare brand and a dry goods brand both find a home.

Story as a structural element, not a tab
The template doesn't have a "Story" page slot. Instead, it provides story blocks that drop into product, home, and collection pages; so a brand's values show up next to the thing they apply to. No more values page nobody opens.

A style kit that makes swapping obvious
The template ships with a short style kit explaining why each decision was made; so buyers don't accidentally undo the system the first time they swap a font. You can break the rules, but the docs tell you which walls you're leaning against.

Outcome
A template for brands that refuse the category look.
YoGreen the template landed in the hands of small sustainable founders who didn't want to look like every other eco-store online. The feedback loop became the proof: each new site built with it looks like itself, not like the template; which is the only thing a template system should brag about.
Discipline beats decoration.
